2. Scope
This policy describes personal data processing when using Elyron for Mac and visiting elyron.app.
3. Data in the app
Elyron works locally with Xcode simulator app data. It reads information about simulators, installed apps, and container locations in the folder you select, and detects development data files and directories. It uses no user accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking and does not send simulator app data to a developer-operated server.
Elyron stores local preferences and a security-scoped bookmark to restore access to the selected folder. Its sandbox entitlement permits read-only access to that folder. Finder and other tools that you choose to use operate separately from Elyron. You can change or restore the folder selection in Settings.
To the extent personal data is involved in providing the requested app functions, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
4. Website and hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Requests involve technically necessary data, including your IP address, requested URL, time, browser, operating system, and, where applicable, referring page. Processing delivers the website and maintains its security and stability. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
According to STRATO’s information, visitor IP addresses are stored for a maximum of seven days to detect and prevent attacks. Access logs provided to hosting customers contain anonymized IP addresses or hostnames.
5. Cookies and external content
This static website does not itself set cookies or use browser storage to identify visitors, analytics, or advertising services. Fonts are provided by your operating system; images and stylesheets are served by this website. Third-party content is not embedded.
Links to the App Store, Apple, or STRATO lead to those providers. Their privacy policies also apply when you follow those links.
6. Email and telephone contact
If you email me, I process your email address, message, and any voluntarily supplied information to answer your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or app-use inquiries, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for handling general inquiries.
I retain correspondence as long as necessary to handle the request. Statutory retention obligations may require longer storage. Please avoid sending confidential productivity data that is not needed to resolve your inquiry.
I use STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, to receive, store, and send email. STRATO processes email addresses, message contents, attachments, and technical communication data as necessary to provide the mail service.
When you contact me by phone, I process the information you provide and, where applicable, your phone number to handle your request. The same purposes, legal bases, and retention criteria apply as for email contact.
Providing contact details and information about your request is voluntary. Without the information necessary to handle it, I may be unable to answer your request.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred. The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision supervises private controllers in Bavaria. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact me at mail@elyron.app.
8. Retention and required information
Elyron does not manage the retention of your simulator app data. It remains in your local development environment until you or the relevant development tools change or remove it. Elyron’s local settings and folder-access bookmark remain until reset or removed.
Website logs and contact requests are subject to the periods or deletion criteria described above. Statutory retention duties or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims may require further retention for those purposes.
Technical request data is required to deliver the website. Folder access is required for Elyron’s simulator browsing features. Providing contact information is voluntary, but I may be unable to answer a request without the relevant details.
9. Recipients
Recipients include STRATO as the website hosting and email provider, as necessary to provide those services, and authorities or other bodies where disclosure is legally required. Elyron does not transmit local simulator app data to me.
10. Changes
I update this information when the app, website, or data processing changes. The current version is available on this page.
